From Post-it to product in
12 weeks.

How does a legacy company switch to a startup mindset?

Skip is a mobile payment platform which provides an easy way for people to pre-order and pay for coffee and food. Launched initially as a ten week pilot in collaboration with 20 cafés across Melbourne, Skip expanded rapidly and has now signed up more than 1300 cafés across Australia.

The concept was the brainchild of the product innovation team at Sensis in collaboration with global design agency IDEO.

What customers say

Sarah, joined 2016

It was great! Super easy and I felt like a celebrity strolling into my coffee shop, grabbing my order and strolling right on out. Was fantastic! Easy to order and you can accumulate stamps for a freebie! Love it!

Neil, joined 2015

Was caught without enough cash at the railway station. I was able to download the app, install, and pay in the time it took to make the coffee. Fantastic!.

Kim, joined 2015

Was awesome. I usually wait 15 mins for a coffee, which is half my morning break between patients. I ordered, kept writing notes, then went over.
